The En Vogue Team had the absolute pleasure to team up with the wonderful staff of the Houston Club in the planning and hosting of their open house. As this was the first public open house event since the club was remodeled, our goal was to showcase various event setups and designs that best complement the intimate and romantic feel of the space. However most importantly, we wanted to visually show the brides the various venues in which Houston Club has to offer for their big day.Scott Konitzer with Blooming Gallery showcased his flawless crystal candelabras, vases, and footed dishes, all adorned with absolutely beautiful floral arrangements in shades of white, blush and green; the stunning florals filled the air with fresh wedding day scents and wowed the guests. The floral centerpieces were accented with crystal votives to enhance the natural candlelight and intimate feel of the event. Scott completed the look of his tablescapes with gold chiavari chairs, and (perhaps our new FAVORITE rental piece) his new navy “Louis” velvet chairs; the chairs were paired perfectly with a blush organza rose overlay and a champagne sequin linen respectively. And you couldn’t miss the absolutely fabulous navy sequin linens that adorned the cocktail tables.. thanks to Scott, navy is now our new favorite color to accent the space with!
Katy Hoch with Over The Top Linen added her specialized touch of intimate glamour and created stunning tablescapes with the use of intricate champagne lace overlays, textured chair treatments cinched with glittery rhinestone bands. To give the tablescape a more textured look and feel, Katy used a blush ribbon taffeta base linen underneath an already fabulous overlay. And for that little “something blue”, Katy added a french blue shantung napkin with the perfect pocket fold that would allow your space for your personalized menu card.
Models fitted with the latest wedding dress and bridesmaids dress designs from BHLDN added an interactive and fashion forward touch to the evening. The model brides and bridesmaids were stationed under the ceremony arch adorned with gorgeous paper flowers of all different styles, colors and sizes provided by super talented Balushka of Paper Floral Artistry. In the main ballroom, the mix of modern and classical strings was provided by Divisi Strings‘ amazing Amp’d Quartet, while Avalon Music showcased a musical duet that provided big sounds setting the cool and calm atmosphere in Allen’s Landing. Also in the main ballroom, DJU Productions featured a white dance floor and amber uplighting.
The Houston Club featured specialty drinks, various hors d’oeuvres and food stations from their catering menu that guests were raving about! And of course, we can’t forget about dessert….. the always amazing Nadine Moon of Who Made That Cake! specially prepared cake push pops for the open house that were an unique and exciting hit with all of the guests!
Truly inspired by the spectacular downtown views and modern romantic feel of the venue, all the vendors did a fabulous job of designing their “area” and showcasing select rentals from their newest inventory. Every aspect of a perfect dream wedding was on display for brides and friends to see and Steve Lee Photography made sure to capture this exciting open house.
We want to thank all the brides that came out to share this event with us. And a special thank you to all of the participating vendors….. we could not have done it without you! We had a fabulous time showing off the beautiful spaces of The Houston Club! XOXO!
Please check out all of the participating vendors — all of whom are on the preferred vendors list of the Houston Club!
