Below from Kelly Skahan, Fashion PR at Nordstrom, is about the Spring 2014’s Hottest Trends
The weather is still pretty rough around the country, but we’re looking forward to the warmer days ahead and the brand new looks we’ll get to wear all spring. We’ve put together three of our favorite trends from spring 2014 for you and your readers, along with a collection of high-res images ready to download. Check out the trends we love:
Back in Blue — This spring’s hottest hue is actually pretty cool. Blue in shades like ice, glacier, navy and everything in-between will show up all over your wardrobe in the coming months, so scoop it up early in the season and wear it through the summer.
Sporty Femme — The newest feminine and flirty looks incorporate unexpected sporty touches from head to toe. Add athletic touches to classic silhouettes, see-through patches to sheaths and sweaters, and eye-catching color-blocking to more traditional lace for a look that’s entirely of-the-moment.
Everyday Exotic — This spring’s prints are inspired by exotic textures, old-school dye techniques, and traditional patterns from around the world, but they’re designed so that you won’t quite be able to put your finger on their origins. It’s like all the conversational prints from last spring went on vacation somewhere warm and came back looking more interesting – and easier to wear – than ever before.
